The flood of 2023

2023 broke all the rainfall records. Something like 15 atmospheric rivers (formerly known as Pineapple Express) hit the middle of the state where we live. The one that hit Friday, March 10 was particularly strong and started several weeks of extreme river flows and lowland flooding. I was able to sneak away from work for a few hours and documented the crazy rise of Yokohl Creek where it flooded areas east of Visalia as well as the the sound of crashing boulders as the East Fork of the Kaweah River raged.
