The Theme for this calendar was Tulare County or close to it - attempting to show images from each month of the year. To be honest, I don't get out and shoot as often in the hot summer months around here so that was a bit of a challenge.

  • Caddo Maple (Acer saccharum 'Caddo')
A sub-species of Sugar Maple that is adapted to dry summers and alkaline soils. Thick, medium green, leathery, slightly smaller leaves. Autumn color ranges from yellow and orange to deep red and scarlet. Caddo maples are native to southwestern Oklahoma, are well-adapted to heat and drought, and resistant to leaf tatter and scorch common among many maples. Height of  50-60’ spread of 25’-35’. Cold hardy to U.S.D.A.  Zone 7.
