Halls Hardy Almond (Prunus dulcis var. dulcis sp.)
Medium. Hard shelled. Beautiful, profuse pink blooms and sometimes sold just for its beauty. Strong almond flavored bitter-sweet kernels suitable for fresh eating but enhanced through cooking. Late bloomer, best for cold areas. Semi self fertile, but does better with pollinizer like Texas (Mission). 800 hours chilling required.
